Subscription Terms of Use – Edge Scan

These Subscription Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the subscription services (“Subscription”) offered within the DocBuddy mobile application (“App”), operated by Avedet (“we”, “us”, or “our”).
By purchasing or using a Subscription, you agree to be bound by these Terms, in addition to our Privacy Policy and any general Terms & Conditions applicable to the App.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not purchase or use the Subscription.

1. Subscription Plans

Subscription Types: We may offer various plans (for example, weekly, monthly, or yearly) with different features and prices. The details of each plan (price, duration, and included features) are displayed in the App before you complete your purchase.
License: A Subscription grants you a personal, limited, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable, revocable license to access premium features of the App for the duration of your active Subscription.

2. Billing and Payment

Payment Provider: All payments are processed through the Google Play Store (or any other platform from which you downloaded the App) using its billing system. We do not collect or store your full payment details.
Billing Cycle: Your Subscription will be billed in advance on a recurring basis (such as weekly, monthly, or yearly), depending on the plan you select.
Pricing: Prices are displayed in your local currency where possible and may include applicable taxes as determined by the platform and local regulations.
Account Responsibility: You are responsible for all charges incurred under your account, including any unauthorized purchases made through your device or account credentials.

3. Free Trials and Promotional Offers

Free Trial: We may offer a free trial for a limited period. The duration and conditions of any free trial will be displayed in the App.
Automatic Conversion: Unless you cancel before the end of the free‑trial period, your trial will automatically convert to a paid Subscription and you will be charged the applicable Subscription fee.
Eligibility: Free trials and promotions may be subject to eligibility criteria and may be limited to new subscribers or restricted to one trial per account or device.

4. Auto‑Renewal and Cancellation

Auto‑Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
How to Cancel:
- You must manage and cancel your Subscription through your Google Play account settings (or the relevant app store settings).
- Deleting the App or stopping use of the App does not automatically cancel your Subscription and does not entitle you to a refund.
Effect of Cancellation:
- When you cancel, your Subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period.
- After that, you will lose access to premium features, but you may continue to use any free features of the App (if available).

5. Refunds

General Rule: All payments are non‑refundable, and no refunds or credits will be provided for partially used billing periods, except where required under applicable Indian law or the app store’s own policies.
App Store Refunds:
- Any refund requests must be made directly through the Google Play Store (or the relevant app store), in accordance with its refund policies.
- We do not have authority to process or guarantee refunds for purchases made via third‑party app stores.

6. Changes to Subscription, Prices, and Features

Price Changes: We may change Subscription prices or introduce new plans from time to time.
- Where required, you will be notified in advance of any price increase and given an opportunity to review the new price before it applies.
- Continuing to use, or not canceling, the Subscription after a price change takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the new price.
Feature Changes: We may add, modify, or remove features of the Subscription. If a change materially reduces the core functionality of your plan, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you.

7. Use of the App and Acceptable Use

You must use the App and Subscription in compliance with all applicable laws of India and these Terms.
You agree not to:
- Reverse‑engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of the App.
- Use the App for any illegal, harmful, fraudulent, or infringing purposes.
- Share, resell, sublicense, or otherwise transfer your account or Subscription to any other person.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Subscription (with or without notice) if we believe you have violated these Terms, misused the App, or engaged in fraudulent or abusive behavior.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the App (including software, design, text, images, logos, and trademarks) are owned by Avedet or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Your Subscription does not grant you any ownership rights in the App or its content. You receive only a limited license to use the App and its features as described in these Terms.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App and Subscription are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, we make no warranties or representations, express or implied, about the operation of the App or the Subscription, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non‑infringement.
We do not guarantee that the App will be error‑free, uninterrupted, secure, or that it will meet your particular needs or expectations.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, Avedet and its affiliates, directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages;
- Any loss of data, profits, revenue, goodwill, or business opportunities;
- Any damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App or the Subscription.
In any event, our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Subscription will be limited to the amount you have paid for the Subscription in the three (3) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

11. Termination

You may stop using the App and cancel your Subscription at any time via your app store account settings.
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Subscription if you materially breach these Terms, misuse the App, fail to pay the Subscription fees, or as required by law or app store policies.
Upon termination, your right to use the Subscription features will cease, but provisions relating to intellectual property, limitation of liability, and governing law will survive termination.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
Subject to any mandatory provisions of law, any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Subscription shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where required, provide notice through the App or by other reasonable means.
Your continued use of the Subscription after the updated Terms become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
